Hello! I feel like I haven’t been on here in a bazillion years even though my last post was only back in July. I really can’t find a quiet enough corner in my house during the summer holidays to even stare at a wall and blink for a bit, so writing was never going to happen.

Although I say that, and this summer I did in fact begin writing my first YA fantasy book. More on that another time but I’m very excited about the whole thing/trying not to erase every third sentence as I jot it down.

So I thought I’d touch on something I did this summer which I then instantly regretted. It won’t surprise you that it involves my neurodivergent son (because our relationship is my main discussion on here) and it probably won’t surprise you that it involves my reaction to how he behaved one day during the holidays. I thought I’d chat about it because I think while it’s good to share steps forward and success stories, it’s also important to reflect and admit ‘yeah, that was sh*te’. So here I am telling you the way I responded one day was sh*te. Let’s begin.
